Girl with Jug

This illustration was for a short story about ghosts from the Revolutionary War. The model for the subject was my sister.
Steel Products

This art-deco-like poster look was used for a brochure for the galvanized steel industry. The use of illustration conveyed a clean image of a process that's often less than picturesque.
Cancer Management

This booklet was given to patients upon their diagnosis with cancer We replaced the former cover that featured hi-tech medical equipment with something soft, bright and reassuring.
McMillan & Wife

How does an upper-end art gallery promote local recognition, ease of finding in a tourist community, and a creative arty image? By using a pen and ink rendering in their advertising, of course. The architectural style and the ancient tree made the image memorable.
Modern Romance

The editor of The Spectator wanted something a little different for his Valentine's Day issue. The solution? An echo of a 1950's romance comic book with just a suggestion of feminism added.
Wheels in Space

A new formula for a very traditional product, (from a company with a very traditional name and old-style logo) inspired the client to want to show a "hi-tech" look. In the early 80's, prior to the personal computer revolution, space travel was still the standard for cutting edge technology. Pun intended.
Weymouth Ridge

A very upscale development project that, at the stage this illustration was done, was nothing but woods. The pine boughs were included to bring a local accent to a "feeling-of-nature" illustration. (the location was "Southern Pines")
African Prince

The negative space to the upper right left not only room for text, but suggests the ambiguous future of the subject.
